NEW YORK STATE FINAL EXAMINATION & PROCTORING REQUIREMENT
The New York Department of State requires that the course final examination be proctored in person.
This is a state-mandated requirement and is not optional.
What This Means:
• The final examination must be taken in the physical presence of an approved proctor.
• Remote or unproctored final examinations are not permitted for this course.
• Course completion credit cannot be issued until the proctored final examination is successfully completed in accordance with state requirements.
APPROVED PROCTOR LIST
To assist learners in meeting this requirement, we provide a comprehensive list of potential approved proctors.
The list of potential proctors is available at:

The course provider does not guarantee availability of any individual proctor listed. Scheduling is the responsibility of the learner.
PROCTORING PROCESS AND EXAM ACCESS
To comply with New York State requirements:
-
The learner must schedule the final examination with an approved proctor.
-
On the day of the examination, the proctor must verify the learner’s identity using valid government-issued photo identification.
-
Before the learner is granted access to the final examination, the proctor must complete a Proctor Attestation.
-
As part of the attestation process, the proctor will enter a unique proctor code to authorize access to the exam.
-
The examination must be completed without unauthorized assistance and under direct supervision of the proctor.
The final examination cannot be accessed until the Proctor Attestation and proctor code are properly submitted.
PROCTOR FEES
Any proctoring fees are separate from the course tuition.
